This feature is useful when using backup servers or when reconfiguring the server after reinstalling the operating system or moving the server to another PC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Keep in mind that a backup of the settings does not save:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">data from the working directory (<code>C:\\TrueConf<\/code> by default) that contains reports, logs, and avatars of your video conferencing system users<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">HTTPS certificate<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">video calls and conferences recordings<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">files transferred in chats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"marked_note\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Read more about full TrueConf Server data copying <a href=\"https:\/\/trueconf.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/move-trueconf-server-another-pc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is very easy to restore the saved server settings. If the server does not run after restoring backup settings, check the network settings: the current IP addresses might not match with the previous IP addresses of TrueConf Server, and you will need to configure the IP addresses again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are restoring the settings on the Windows version other than the version you ran when you were making backup of those settings, you will need to re-register the server to run it.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>More on server settings<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"More_on_server_settings\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are installing a new version over the old one, all settings are retained, you don&#8217;t have to apply backup settings after the installation of a new version of TrueConf Server.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are installing the older version over the new one, the stable operation of TrueConf Server is not guaranteed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A copy of the TrueConf Server settings allows you to backup the basic settings of your server: users, groups, scheduled conferences, network settings.
